Requiring all students in all levels of education to have a personal ePortfolio is where we should currently be. For my students in a college scenario it is probably the very least we should expect from them, considering that from here on out everything is going to require the use of technology. Students being at least rudimentally familiar with this digital presentation style would go a long way in setting them on the right path to growth and success.
From there each class should require they have a PLE, parts of which are accessible to their instructor and peers, demonstrating critical thinking skills and knowledge learned. These could also be soundboards for streaming off in multiple directions on assignments, thereby taking on the responsibility of personally elevating their learning to a higher level.
